“As a student from Hawaii, I knew no one at Marymount when I  rst arrived on campus. Naturally, I was so nervous about making new friends in a new school and
a new state. Since Marymount is a small and diverse university, I was able to meet people from all over the world in a few days. One reason I liked MU was the required undergraduate internships. I wanted to study criminology, and I knew a university near D.C. would allow me to take advantage of federal internships that I couldn’t  nd anywhere else, which would allow me to build my résumé and network with professionals in my  eld."
